Set up a wiki
My first wiki! I’ve been meaning to do this for a while – my ex-boss came up with a grand idea that we’ve been talking about implementing for about 3-4 years now, but we’ve never got around to it, so I thought it might be good if I and some of my geek-friends started at least compiling some content for it, so that when we get around to doing something proper with it, at least it won’t be empty! It’s been quite a learning curve, setting up the wiki, but the wiki farm I’ve chosen (wikidot.org) has a fabulous range of options, including a full forum and post comments, is fully skinnable AND FREE! Gosh how I love opensource. Such a good package this one – if you’re looking for a full-featured wiki without ads and don’t mind not having a WYSIWYG interface, definitely check it out. And as a bonus, it produces beautiful, valid markup behind the scenes.
