A friend of mine suggested me as an external validator for a new New Media MA at Thames Valley University, and today we had the validation event which was truly fascinating and inspiring and for a few brief hours made me feel intelligent and useful. Then I came out and had to face real life, which was a bit nasty (especially as it was raining and then I realised I’d not brought my keys with me so had to sit on the step and wait for the neighbour to come home so I could get at the spares). But it has left me with a vague determination to read more new media theory and try to stretch myself a bit with that rather than just tinkering with the practical bits. *When* this is going to happen is quite another matter…
